Seems to be a new development in the past few days. Turkey has already refused to withdraw and it might build up to a bigger situation.

The Iraqi government actually protested the Turkish several miles incursion into Iraq. Apparently the Turks are exporting their democracy to Iraq since the American export has failed. Or maybe they are in Iraq to test NATO solidarity, again. But they will have a video of it proving that they never went in.

President Erdogan of Turkey wants to change the country's constitution so that the office of the president has more powers.
Currently, the prime minister and parliament have the most power.
In his remarks, he referred to the "effective form of government" that existed under Herr Hitler.
Some people are quite upset by his remarks.
