Also the specific term I happen to be familiar with in regard to suspension points.

I've never heard it called "suspension points," always "ellipsis."

"Ellipsis" is the term commonly used by grammarians. (The plural would be "ellipses," but I hope you're not using too many!) I've never heard "suspension points" either.
