Hi, I bought 3 years ago a T-shirt in Morocco and they said the translation is "Morocco" but I searched on Google and I don't find the same words. I hope it doesn't say something like "I'm dumb" :-)

Thanks in advance, John

The English name "Morocco" originates from, respectively, the Spanish and Portuguese names "Marruecos" and "Marrocos". These, in turn, derived from "Marrakesh", the medieval Latin name for the former Almoravid dynasty and Almohad Caliphate capital from ancient Morocco.[9] "Marrakesh" remains the name for Morocco in Persian, as it was, until the latter 20th century, in Middle Eastern Arabic. In Turkish, Morocco is known as "Fas", a name derived from its ancient capital Fes.
The word "Marrakesh" is made of the Berber word-combination Mur N'Akush meaning "Land of God".

Thank you Maryam Dad for your answer :-) When I put the name Marakesh in Google translator I get مراكش, so it's definitely the correct word.
I'm sorry. I put simmilar letters, like the picture, on Google translator and it translated to "You are dumb" first and the word "Fraud" later. As I said later I didn't choose the right letters.
شكرا
