Has anyone read this book by Herman Wouk? I would be interested in what others think of the book.

No I haven't read this book. Have you? Is it more a memoir or does he come to conclusion of how God speaks? I have read some of his books and always liked them. I didn't even know he had published this one.

It is not important the language God speaks as long as you understand Him. If you do He apparently speaks your language.
What language(s) did Jesus speak?

What about this one: God is transparent.

BTW Isn't this thread for the religion forum?

You might think so, but read the OP again. It's about a book.

Thanks for posting the question about the book. I've just ordered it, so I'll take a look.

However, I couldn't help but notice a little funkiness with the title. It's his use of the word "talks" I think. It seems most people read it to mean:

The Language (noun) God (subject) Talks (descriptive verb: the method and manner of verbal communication.)

That is, "this is the language spoken by God."

However, it could mean:

The Language (adjective) God (a divinity with the word capitalized only because it is in a title) Talks (is now speaking.)

That is, it could be Wouk saying "Behold! The god of language will now speak!"

I wonder if he intended that ambiguity....
