As an elderly person, I often walk down the street carrying a newspaper or magazine printed on paper.

I have read, however, that most millennials (those people born between 1982 and 2004) would not be caught dead reading a print publication.

On the sidewalk, I often have to dodge millennials (and some people who are much older) who are looking down at their smartphones.

Here in the United States, all kinds of print publications are dying.

Experts are asking how much longer print newspapers can last.

Some predict that print publications will become very expensive and will be bought only by the rich. (Even today, some print newspapers cost at least $2 an issue.)

Now if we could just figure out what's next. I mean, first there was the printed page, then the Smartphone thingy. What could be the next big thing?

And you must have noticed that you need stronger glasses to read a printed text.
This is why I choose to read the news online.

Yes, you can set the font size on the computer; you're stuck with what you get in print.

Can you also set the font size on smartphones?

I know NOthing about smartphones. I do know that on the sidewalk I have to be careful that young people looking down at their smartphones do not bump into me. What ARE they reading so attentively?

(I have a dumbphone for the elderly. It lets me call out and receive calls and take photographs.)
