I seem to write from my heart. I see my heart as a organ and not as a spiritual realization of the true me, yet it is written ones heart is also a emotion which means it it also a spiritual organ, part human part spiritual. Emotions I have because I feel them even tho I can't see them. I want to believe I am a spiritual person with a spiritual heart because I feel my heart spiritually. I sense my emotions as I write. I am indeed bewildered by this experience. If someone told me this when I was a sinner I would say they are crazy.

I want to be dead to sin but it is real and I sense it. I now seem to understand when I think of wanting whatever comes to mind, without asking God for it I have sinned! I ask for forgiveness and learn from it. Why does guilt come from sinning? When I was a sinner, it was normal to sin, now that I am saved I am aware of sin. Is it possible in ones mind to see the sin but not feel the sin and not sin, it is just a thought? If I feel the sin it is my heart, but if I do not feel it, it is in my thoughts and mind and I have not sinned? curiousone2

Paul, you seem to be over-thinking some of the aspects of your life. The heart, as well as being the organ that pumps blood round the body was once thought to be the seat of the emotions in a human being, and we still think of it that way. It is fair enough to say that you write or speak from the heart, meaning that your creativity is not just intellectual, but you should not put too much stress on your heart having an influence on the spiritual side of your life. We have a brain to help us determine what is right or wrong and to help us make decisions. You speak about being saved. Remember that your salvation is in Christ and does not depend upon your own spiritual or moral strengths. When you feel vulnerable to temptation, or just troubled by doubts, remember who you belong to and rest in His strength.

Sin is disobedience to God. A decision you made that might be a rebellion to God.

You may not feel it. In some cases, you may feel guilty and in some cases you may not. In short, your feelings is not a good guide whether one thing is sin or not.

You have a physical heart.
Bible talks about another heart from where your desires origin. But nobody knows yet whether that heart is in spirit or in mind.
