I recently read this sentence that a commenter had left on the Web: "Respecto al comentario 76, no halemosor hablar."

I checked the Web, and no such word exists.

I guess that the commenter misspelled the word.

Do you have any idea of what word s/he was trying to spell?

Thank you

P.S. How ironic that s/he was commenting on the many spelling errors found in the textbooks used in a certain Spanish-speaking country!

That "word" does not exist. Perhaps the commenter was trying to write "no solemos" (we don't usualy speak) or "no debemos" (we must not speak).
Just my guess.

Thank you, JC, VERY MUCH.

I was just thinking:

a. The writer was, I believe, from Mexico.
b. The writer maybe made a spelling errror.
c. The writer seemed to be praising the comments of another commenter (#76).
d. I was wondering:

Is it possible that the writer meant something like: No vale mas ser hablar. (There's nothing more to say.)

Thank you,

James

You are welcome TP, and

Mas vale no hablar (de/acerca de) - It´s better not to speak (of/about...)
There´s nothing more to say. - No hay más que decir.
No podemos hablar. - We cannot speak.

Which was the intended word the commenter had in his/her mind? Think

Cheers.

Thank you, JC, for your reply.

I do not think that she / he is reading this, so I guess that I can simply say that she / he spells very badly.

Of course, I do not know what she / he wanted to say.

I do NOT know Spanish very well, but I THINK that in Mexico some people use an incorrect "h." So "vale" becomes "hale."

"Respecto al comentario 76, no halemosor hablar."

"Respecto al comentario 76, no hablemos por hablar"
