Could anyone please explain the parts in bold? Would it be grammatically correct if I write "accept" instead of "accepting" here?
▪Meanwhile back in reality, most will drain your bank account, stress you into an early grave, and create unnecessary problems in your life while never accepting personal responsibility for their own toxicity.

▪Meanwhile back in reality, most will drain your bank account, stress you into an early grave, and create unnecessary problems in your life while never accepting personal responsibility for their own toxicity. The term "back in reality" is used to suggest that what is being considered, or talked about, it not a realistic situation, not a logical situation, or to characterize a situation as being ridiculous. It may be true and real, but you're saying that it isn't.
And no, you can't substitute "accept" here without changing some words. You could say, "...while they never accept personal...", but as it is worded here, "accepting" is correct.
