I've been a type one for almost 5 years and just recently got the Dexcom G6. I never liked the idea of having something on my body 24/7, for multiple reasons. However I finally decided to give the Dexcom a try and now that I've become more comfortable with that on my body I've been looking into getting a pump.

I do not know much about pumps, but from the things I have heard and the research I've done I feel like the omnipod would be the best option for myself.

I just want to know more about it and whether or not it is something I should try. Is it worth it? What are the pros and cons?

I’m horrified of needles due to a childhood fun time where two nurses sat on me because I was scared of a needle to force an injection, I still get my immunizations and my step brother regularly self administered insulin in the open. It’s honestly incredible that people can’t put aside their fears for literally half a second to help themselves or other people.
