Hi,

I'd like to know which preposition to use in the following.

John is the operating executive in/of the shopping mall.

I'd appreciate your help.

If John is one of the people who operates or oversees the shopping mall--as opposed to someone who manages one of the stores in the mall--you would say "of the shopping mall".
