Dinosaurs were not killed by asteroid. The very idea is a kinda Hollywoodesque and charlatanish. Like always, it was the case of the survival of the fittest. Warm blooded birds and mammals have survived to the present day, while cold blooded and too specialized dinosaurs have not. Asteroid cannot be selective, while evolution can.
