If you would taste love, drink of the pure stream that youth pours out at your feet. Do not wait till it has become a muddy river before you stoop to catch its waves.

Clasp love over your heart and slake your thirst in those heavy brews.

I disagree. The purity of the stream of love in our youth is not tempered by experience or wisdom. The young often drink too much of it and become sick. Or they let it carry them away in a direction that leads to pain and sorrow. The river of love in our later years may not be as strong, but the water is just as sweet if not more so than in our youth.

Well, love itself is a purifying factor if it's genuine love, not just infatuation, lust - or something more grave...

- The time is the master of transformations. It changes lives and things to new ones, for the good or the bad.
- Don't let the time throws sand into one's water. Let this feeling and internal mood flows with the moment enjoying the experiences.
