Christa McAuliffe’s lost lessons finally taught in space
- On January 28, 1986, I was just moving with my family to a new town when we learned that horrible news about this disaster.
- Christa McAuliffe was going to be the first female crew member of an American spaceship and the first real teacher to be sent out space by American Government, a fact that would represent a tremendous shift in the prior government focus on military sole members.
- She never made it due to both tragical and rational course of actions that took place on NASA and its suppliers.
- Thirty-two years later, giving her lessons on space to millions of children will be a great and just form of recalling her mission learning young minds using the space as a teaching tool.
