sisikou, thank you for that great poster of the universe. That visual explains with a quick look what may be happening in our universe. The first picture would be a 26 billion year process from beginning to end. The other 3 show a universe just expanding on forever without end at varying distance of expansion, or 'splash effect' if you will.

A black hole is a fascinating concept for alien travel, but I believe a black hole is so powerful, and the magnetic force is so great, anything that tried to pass through it would be smashed into little tiny bits of matter.

I think it's a description of moon phases, so I'll have to go with it being a repeated event. There's lots of clues in that piece, and cleaver attempts to hide the true meaning.

That was beautiful Marissa! Those ancient tribes had some kind of ancient wisdom we can only speculate upon now. The fact is, thousands of years ago our solar system was closer to the center of the universe than it is today. The sky was clearer, the stars were closer and brighter, and possibly, aliens came to visit a long time ago. The angels must have cried the last day, the last alien realized they would never pass this way again.

newt (n.)
Any of several small, slender, often brightly colored salamanders of the European genus Triturus or the North American genera Notophthalmus and Taricha, living chiefly on land but becoming aquatic during the breeding season.

gecko (n. pl.)
Any of various usually small tropical and subtropical lizards of the family Gekkonidae, having toes padded with setae containing numerous suction cups that enable them to climb on vertical surfaces.

Geckos are actually higher on the evolutionary scale than Newts, and shouldn't be confused with salamanders.

One of two things may be true:
1. Newt's ma couldn't spell...
2. Newt's ma didn't know what a newt was...

intelfam, you might enjoy reading The Druids by Peter Berresford Ellis.

In the book, I learned that Julius Caesar wrote about the Druids. What he wrote about is completely different from what Neo Pagans believe today. According to Caesar, Strabo, Pliny, and others, the Druids were the intellectual elite of society. They were the bards, scholars, and mediators, among other things. The Romans effectively exterminated them because they knew to much, challenged too much, and resisted authoritative rule too much. In order to effectively exterminate the Druids, lies had to be told -- horrific lies that would get every one on board for the extermination. The common people were told that the Druids sacrificed children and ate them. This riled up the masses, and they were willing to do what they were told regarding the Druids. One of the instructions was to kill any one on the path who wore a hooded cloak, and carried a walking stick.

I wonder why a certain poster enjoys taking quotes out of context so much. To inflame? To incite a fight? I think that goes against TOS.

Thank you one and all for your very interesting tid-bits on avatars

I couldn't find an hourly wage or salary wages for this type of service. They are considered specialists and represent the company, so I guess they are paid well for selling more bras to happy women.
