God created us first to worship our creator, second to love one another as he loved us and third so that we can have a taste of another form of existence before we die and our souls dwell in the eternal realm he has prepared for all those who belive in him.

I ain't accusing the citizen of The States, We, the common people, seldom have any call on the goverment decisions. I'm merely stating that the embargo has bereave us of a chance of experiencing a certain ecomonmic relief and to tell you the truth most of Cuban are fed up with the government putting all the blame on the embargo. Concerning Tourism in Cuba, 2 million tourists mean nothing, if we take into consideration that Cuba is the largest island on the Caribbean and yet, Jamaica for instance, receives over 10 million tourists a year. My point is that receiving like 10 million tourist a year will boost the personal economy of Cubans, whether the government wants it or not, because all of us Cuban are survivors and have learned to trade under the counter because there's really no other choice.

I had always felt curious as how was the game of poker played until I found by chance a computer game called: Governor of Texas and after many failed attempts and perusing through Wikipedia to some rules and instructions I have managed to learn and we have now formed a sort of poker club. We play community poker and it has really hooked us all. I´d like to know opinions and experiences on such an interesting game.

For half a century now the US have imposed an economic embargo on Cuba and with no success. Sometimes the stubborness of big countries do not allow them to realize that there are other much effective methods to attain victory. The embargo has only strengthened the Cuban revoution and has served as a escapegoat and the perfect alibi to put all of the blame on such political attitude. Truth is that if The States would have or will raise the embargo and let NorthAmericans to travel freely to the island, Cuba will in a short time fall prey to the overwhelmig influence of such a big country. No longer will the Cuban goverment find any excuses for their ineptitute and short-sightedness. The huge amount of tourist coming to Cuba will unleash the pent-up desires of Cuban to better their situations. The goverment will be forced to open more resorts and their repressive forces would be unable to keep everything under their vigilant eyes. I could quote more reasons, but I´ll leave it for now awating for responses.

God couldn´t be created, otherwise there would be a higher deity above him. He´s been and is eternal.

genome wrote:Here is an example of excellent prose. It describes the difficulties encountered in the construction of the Panama canal but is from an essay on the construction of the Suez canal.
“It was neither a hostile army nor political difficulties that obstructed the construction of the canal; neither mountain chain nor desert waste but an insect that raised a barrier of disease and death between endeavour and accomplishment.”
Are you familiar with Winton´s writings? Perhaps I am misinterpreting what you try to convey, but you replied back with a quote and I find no sense in what you are trying to say.
