Topic: Incorrect time attached to WordHub matches in the app
Posted: Saturday, January 18, 2020 1:52:15 AM
And problem returned... top 6 finished games or so marked as (finished) "1 day ago" when all but one, if not all of them, were finished well before that.

I don't understand why this issue still hasn't been properly fixed...?

Thank you TFD.

Hello and thank you for asking!

I've only used the 'Members' section a few times but I think I would use it occasionally if the link was more prominently designed and placed. It looks like a neat thing.

It did feel like today's idiom had been shown before but I wouldn't have guessed it was as recently as past dec.!

Same here! I reported on Idiom of the Day (lack of) recognition in one of the other threads. However, my WordHub games are messed up also!

I've been noticing the same problem re Idiom of the Day since yesterday (Fri.) - it counts as an article and only awards 5 points. This issue exists at both the website and the app.

I think it's due to some (temporary... I hope) error at TFD. I'm only getting 5 neurons/points for idioms of the day - instead of 30 neurons as per usual - and since yesterday, it's not showing up in my Latest activities list that I've read an idiom.

I long ago stopped recommending this site to my students. I am sure that I am not alone

TheFreeDictionary is a fantastic website! Lots of free dictionaries and encyclopaedias (including specialized ones) in one place - all stringed together just by clicking on a word (unless you're using the app - but maybe that function will be included in the app too in the future...)! Depending on your settings, all this can be experienced without much ad intrusions.

Can't you recommend the site but just warn them of the forum? It's pretty tucked away and is not a main feature anyway. Personally, I don't visit the forums much and I would continue using TFD without the message boards, if there were none. It is not integral to the experience or am I wrong?

Hi L. Rai! Congrats on reaching 1M neurons! I guess that's how you got a "10" in the red/yellow graphic close to your name?
I could tell you how to get many points in a relatively short amount of time but I think if you just visit my profile (the main one, not the forum profile) and read the top line in my latest activities log, you'll see how (I think Bookman and some other games also generate a lot of neurons though).

You can use Google to search for relevant pages from specific sites only by using the format seen here: https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ei=v6z5WeT2K-ag6AT5kq34Cw&q=Adventist+site%3Aforum.thefreedictionary.com&oq=Adventist+site%3Athefreedictionary.forum.com (just change the search word(s) to something relevant to what you're looking for).
