Igloos

An igloo, which means "house" in the Inuit language, is a traditional, dome-shaped Eskimo dwelling with a low tunnel entrance constructed of blocks of snow placed in an ascending spiral. Although igloos are commonly associated with the Inuit, they were predominantly constructed by people of Canada's Central Arctic and Greenland's Thule area. What is a kudlik, and how did it help strengthen the structural integrity of igloos? More...

Eskimo family inside an igloo

An Eskimo (Inuit) family sits inside an igloo lit by a kudlik,a soapstone lamp fueled by seal oil.

I seriously doubt that Inuits happen to form plurals using -s. So if the singular is igloo, I doubt the plural is igloos.

Apologies to any native speakers for the following mangling of your language, and its recent history!

Inuktitut is a lovely language because it was not written before westerners arrived, and there were two people who chose different ways to teach the locals to write. One went for transliteration to English, so the word is, apparently:

singular: iglu
...plural: igluit

(in the same way that Inuk is the singular and Inuit the plural).

and another missionary decided that the language was more suited to being written in Pitman shorthand, so a unique script evolved from that. Computer script does not do it justice.
singular: ᐃᒡᓗ
...plural: ᐃᒡᓗᐃᑦ

No 'igloos' in sight! Shame on you Whistle

When it's too hot, I often dream of the life in igloos among icebergs, or on the bottom of the sea, beneath the waves, in some sort of cool octopuses garden.

And now, just think, staying at a luxury ice hotel is trending. One I checked out (strictly out of curiosity) had rooms for about $1,000 per night! Not talking

I'd rather live in an igloo than an ig. What's an ig? An igloo without a loo! Whistle

Living in an Igloo in the Arctic and living in an Igloo in a make believe Arctic will be two different thing.
