Rose Tremain has written a price-winning novel "Music and Silence" which takes place at Rosenborg Castle in 1629-30.
King Christian IV had set up a tube-system bringing music from the cellar up into the rooms of the castle. Thus his orchestre was invisible!
It is a dazzling and lovely story.

Hey, let's not get greedy like those who made the castles to their own glory whilst hundreds of honest people were exploited and put down for someone's castle glory. Let's not think we are "gods/goddesses/kings/queens" on this earth and put down others.
The worst addictions are getting high on the superiority-over-others reasoning and feeling, getting high on greed, and getting high on alcohol, drugs, sex.

Visiting a castle may be interesting. Living in one may be boring, I am afraid.
