Olympe de Gouges (1748)

Born Marie Gouze, de Gouges was a French author whose feminist writings during the French Revolution demanded the same rights for French women that French men were demanding. In 1791, alarmed that the new constitution did not address woman's suffrage, she wrote Declaration of the Rights of Woman and the Female Citizen, challenging the practice of male authority and the notion of male-female inequality. Why was she executed by guillotine during the Reign of Terror? More...

Yes, but the puppeteers and the executioners they hired for the "job" lived even a shorter life because no sane mind wants to remember them.
Sick minds will perpetuate studying (study Plato's Cave in The Republic) Cave history of sick puppeteers (the addicts-infested-authorities (corporate insanity and corruption), evil intelligence called military, and self-righteous religious misleaders)

Some women are shameful just like some men who cannot control their sexual organs. Women are shameful just like men when they join the military. Macho men are the worst pussies. Brave only with the weapons of raw muscles or military weapons... Women are shameful when they get into addictions and lie like men of the same kind...
Women are shameful when they abuse their positions and exploit others just like men of the same kind....

Yes, women must have the full rights as men when they both act well. A woman must have the right to propose a marriage to a man just like a man has the right to propose a marriage to a woman. A man who thinks he is a macho when he hits, abuses, and puts down a woman... such man is a pussy...

All humans are equal, but some want to be more equal than others.

She fought to give women the right to divorce. She campaigned for civil partnerships and against slavery. She was a passionate feminist who died for her ideals – and all this in the late 18th century. Now one of France's greatest honours could be bestowed on Olympe de Gouges, a woman considered by many to be one of the world's first feminist campaigners.

De Gouges is one of a handful of women being considered for membership of the Panthéon, France's secular necropolis. Kickstarting a national campaign, the feminist movement Osez le féminisme (Dare to be a feminist) has just launched an e-petition to put pressure on President François Hollande to admit more women to the Panthéon.

Wonderful writer and years ahead of her time; and she was beheaded because the French are stupid people.
