I am confused?

Am I not supposed to build a word from the first 2 letters?

and does omnipotent not start with the om from omega?

Ooops, have I misunderstood? Anxious

Yes, I know, I was joking. :) It just sounds as a continuity: 'omega' (like in 'alpha&omega') and 'omnipotent'. Am I right, Rara? Was it your asscociation?

You have to continue with letters taken from a new word, without any changes. Furthermore, you should use at least two letters from the previous word to create a new one. These are rules of this game. :) For instance:

I'm writing: Ejectorrenterrainventilaterallysochromega. My word is omega, then. Now you have to create a new word, which will be build from at least two letters taken from my word. You can start from omega, or choose less letters, but not less than two ones in a row. So, your word can start with 'mega', 'ega' or finally with 'ga'. Hope, it'll help. :)

I notice that we've had at least one entry creating a word by adding letters to the beginning of the previous "word" instead of the end. The directions don't say the new word must come from the end, but all of Galad's examples plus all of the other entries do.

Also, it looks like this game is going to become quite unwieldy very soon.

Perhaps Galad would be so kind as to weigh in on these two things. Please?
