There are useless things which one can learn. To desire to learn something useful makes perfect sense.

You often don't know how useful the useful stuff will be when you first learn it. I would add that you should learn stuff that inspires you, however useful it may first appear.

Useful to who?

What defines what is useful, when, where, and how?

This is my only now.

Ha ha ha 😊 very funny. In his day there were markets full of fresh fish and octopuses and other mussels. Perhaps he had a way of working out a better deal to get his weekly shop from there. But still very funny that you that😊 I might just go and get so good value pizza now...😃

On a more serious note...it good to be wise and have some knowledge. It helps to not always look so out of it or empty 😊 d'oh!

It is best to put the learning into action after, since it says "something useful". Let us use it and don't stop by just learning it.

IMO anything that gives pleasure and not at the cost of others' sufferings is useful and worth learning though neither usefulness nor pleasure can be anticipated in toto
