Skin cancers are rife in my family, it's a big risk in Australia, we've got the highest rates in the world. I came across this info a few months ago, but sunblock is still a better go to preventive.

Considering risk/benefit, the side effects of aspirin and other non-steroidals are sufficiently serious, and the mere 15% chance that they are effective in preventing skin cancer, a relatively non-fatal form of cancer, rules out their use.

I lived in Florida for many years where exposure to the sun was an every day problem. Sun screen and a wide brimmed hat were the best out door attire. I had one of those Aussie outback hats. It looked good and worked great.
