Tojo's accession as prime minister of Japan in 1941 marked the final triumph of the military faction that advocated war with the US and Great Britain. He definitely deserve to be tried and executed again, and again.

War breeds war... No government investing in wars/no military/no religious institution is innocent.

He attempted suicide while awaiting trial. Condemned by the International Military Tribunal for crimes against humanity, he was hanged in Tokyo on December 23, 1948.

Tojo was noted for his loyalty to Emperor Hirohito and, with the assistance of Supreme Commander of Allied Powers Douglas MacArthur and his staff, he did not reveal, during his trial, the Emperor's complicity in and approval of the war.
