There is a fiendishly difficult violin solo in the 'Sheherezade' it is known as one of the most sensuous of all orchestral violin solos, beautiful to listen to but so very exposed for the violinist, the intonation has to be near on perfect. It is often on the audition list for major orchestras for this reason. Here's an extract solo violin: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPB15Ma2o48Moscow Symphony - Arthur Arnold, conductor - Elena Semenova - violin - Live from The Hague. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_pkRH2DZuw&feature=relatedBallet - Mariinsky ballet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1aFrAV3d1o&feature=related Enjoy! Do not fear to be eccentric in opinion, for every opinion now accepted was once eccentric. - Bertrand Russell
