Jyrkka, its such an interesting topic u have opened today !!! kudos

The Golden ratio (1.61803399) and Fibonacci series... one can observe these any where and every where in nature ... Arrangement of petals in flowers, arrangement of veins in leaves, the Vitruvian man, Ratio of bone lengths in human body etc...

I agree, I also pass snails moving across the pavement, when I walk by or ride a bike.
