Perhaps, but most people would not necessarily become good poets.

"Little Demon" would describe me better, when she fancies her rights are being infringed...

If on no other day, then surely with this wrinkle about your brow, Miranda, you call to mind that once we met.

At the touch of love the world suddenly begins to swirl and all come out of control... It is an uncontrollable burst of energy, which often ends with an uncontrollable spasm of body - not always pleasant. Why people crave for it at all moreover writing numbers?

Love is a therapeutic agent and makes people swim in a sea of emotions. Some turn poets for a time, and as love withers, poetry too evaporates with it.Boo hoo!

That is not poetry, it is an aphrodisiac.

Applause

Is 'touch of love' a euphemism? Because it's usually the hope of a 'touch' of love that brings about the poetry.

About Quote:
Source: This quote is on page: 72 of “Symposium of Plato” (1970), also found in “Apology, Crito, Phaedo, Symposium, Republic” (1942) by Plato, translated by Louise Ropes Loomis; page: 186.

Variants:
1) At least, everyone becomes a poet, however songless be may have been before, once Love takes hold of him.

2) Love is so wise a poet that he can make another the same; at least, everyone becomes a poet whom Love touches, even one who before that, had ‘no music in his soul.

3) And at the touch of him everyone becomes a poet, even though he had no music in him before; this also is a proof that Love is a good poet and accomplished in all the fine arts.

It's not the quality that is important for such love poems that are not destined for the great public,
but only for one single person. And I think every loved woman will enjoy such poems even if they are
no master pieces.
