I have met some such people. They seem to be the most boring, uninteresting, phlegmatic personalities I have ever had the misfortune of meeting. They will start work at our shop, complain ceaselessly about their chronic boredom, and then recede into the air from which they seem to have materialized in the first place.

I have a difficult time understanding why such folk apply to work in a customer service industry. They start their job, refuse to engage in any conversation whatsoever, stare off into space, and do the utmost minimum imaginable!

Were you to ask me their names, I would be extremely hard-pressed to wring them out of my memory, as they did not so much as leave a speck of dust in the recesses of my mind--so boring and soporific were their personalities!

I dearly hope that none of these human tranquillizers will ever cross the threshold of your lives!

Be the change you wish to see in the world!-Gandhi

I think a few people who can impress or inspire me in my life, that will be good enough. I do not need a lot of friends, I just want some good friends. I know many people, they are just regular folks, like you, like me.

In the wake of such an encounter no doubt one may be bored out of one's scull.

Sounds arrogantly elitist.

I am one of them. Depends though what's meant to be impressing as this may vary from man to man.

De omnibus dubitandum est.

There remains the pleasantness of passing along that path once again; with the possibility that one of the two may have undergone a little change.

That situation might be common where the people involved in the communication process want not to share interests or have absolutely nothing in common. Everyone has something interesting to share, but it's up to the receiver to identify with the other part whether the formula reacts accordingly, thus enabling a proper long lasting impression and so on and so forth

It is very likely that those who want to leave
a strong impression end up being faces with no names.

Making a Positive Lasting Impression:

Smile. Sincere and genuine smile
Make eye contact.
Listen more.
Ask more, say less.
Show Genuine Interest.
Be confident.
Be present.
Remember it isn't about you.
Be genuine and real. Be . . . yourself!

You may, but it'll probably get you in trouble.

Some surfaces may be hard to impress even with oar or hammer.
