Not so obvious - a movie made in 1981 cannot be a sequel to a movie made in 1997. :p However, a connection exists, so the association is valid. :)

so... - blood thirsty monsters with a conscience > Innocent Blood (1992) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0104511/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_24

then - a double connection - vampires + French (Anne Parillaud is French, Thirst is based on the French book Therese Raquin > Thirst (2009) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0762073/?ref_=nv_sr_2 - a Korean movie that is extremely... uncanny, but very well made, worth watching despite its disturbing content

Mea culpa, I edited while you were already typing, Steele, because I really wanted to post Thirst, too, for those who haven't seen it... So... I'll consider your contribution the right one to follow - and hope Luke will enjoy it. :D

Cambodia, Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge (2012 [or 2011?]) I found it like this - 2012 -, but in some cases you can find two consecutive years, one of them being (probably) the year when it was produced, and the other one the year when it was released. I'm not sure, it's just a guess...>> director Shane O'Sullivan >> Jean-Luc Cinema Godard (2009)

Yes, they qualify. :) TV films and documentaries of various lengths are ok, but not TV series/shows. The only exception that can be made regards those series whose episodes can be watched separately, like movies, in which case the connection is to refer to a particular episode and not to the whole series. However, such situations are to be avoided as much as possible because they can become confusing. I'll give you an example that comes to mind right now: Sherlock, the BBC series (2010 -) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1475582/?ref_=nv_sr_1 - the episodes are comparable to full movies in length and unity and they have titles, which can be useful if you need to refer to one of them.

(if Doce doenst mind my answering in his behalf ) yes this works because Anne of a Thousand Days can relate to The Other Boleyn Girl due to King Henry VIII
