I couldn't agree more: to grow older gracefully, that is the key.

The human race has only one really effective weapon, and that is laughter. The moment it arises, all your irritations and resentments slip away and the sunny spirit takes their place – Mark Twain

Let me add another great quote of Victor Hugo:

I think humor, faith, family and friends too.

I am carrying my heart~I am carrying my rhythm~I am carrying my prayers~But you can't kill my spirit~It's soaring and strong (Paula Cole's Me Lyrics)***We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. While reading the Hunchback of Notre Dame I became a habitué of medieval Paris' underground where resides all the castoffs of society: the homeless, the pick pockets, the thieves on a some more grander scale than mere pick pockets, the lame, orphaned children, discarded old.
The residents had a King who was both revered and feared. But everybody beneath was feed and there was a sense of community and acceptance, which was more than the French could say of the life above ground.
The most amazing part is how this uneducated mass were so well aware of the corruption, hypocrisy and ineptitude of the establishment above them.

When Grace first encountered Wrinkles it was love at first sight. This would be a life-long love affair. Every line and every furrow stirred her emotions. He was fat and reminded her of a large dried prune.

Grace is the beauty without age and with age it's only perfected just like a good wine. What a gracious gift or trait of survival!

Someone of the very same description, grace joined with wrinkles, passed me in the right lane, waved and smiled,
cut in front of me and adorably jammed on the brakes for the red light.Eh? Whistle

Alzheimer's took my Dad's voice several years ago and it took his life this past August. This quote is so true. Even when he did not always remember or recognize me, his smile lit up his aged, wrinkled face although he still looked remarkably young for his age.
