Some newbie posters seem to have minus points. How is that?

My understanding is that you get negative points for having a post removed.

Do you mean if we remove our own post or are there criteria that would cause someone's post to be removed?

I've deleted my own posts on several occasions and seen my points go down. I'll never get that toaster. Boo hoo!

Holy joystick~!! Take a peep at my post points. Take a glance at it! It is still over -500. Who had pulled it on me just like monkey-business?
It's gonna obviously take me up for a month even to make it positive upon over 100 posts. On top of all that, each time I post something, it must be cringe-making stuff because who would wanna publicize over -500 post points?

I'm all for free speech but maybe your signature needs to be changed. "Scratching groins" and "incurable pruritic ringworm" is not the kind of thing we normally see on TFD signature lines. Good luck with the points thing, it's a mystery.

It fails miserably as a message to go green and some find it offensive. If you think any statement about scratching crotches and ringworm is acceptable as a signature line, you are in the wrong place.

I find it mildly unappealing, but I certainly don't want to see the inception of a Committee for Signature Standards in FreeDELFia.

Ringworm is a fungal infection. Your signature is not really off color, it's just a bit gross. Take a look at some ringworm photos; you'll see what I mean. Do what you want, it's your signature. I'm going to take a shower. Dancing

Points are typically subtracted when posts are flagged as Spam by other users or are deleted by administrators.

Holy dude! Wait a sec! My post points had been subtracted again before I got on this posting. It displayed -495 post points yesterday, yet now, it palpably shows me -595 post points.

Why would only my post points tail off? I betcha dollars to doughnuts someone must have rigged it. What's going on here!?

Can anyone in this new language forums amplify it?

Yes, I've had several very nice PMs about humor. Many of us think of TFD as an extended family. We've gotten to know each other and we have different but interesting 'on forum' personalities. Mine is to try keep things light with goofy attempts at humor. No one here seems to have a mean streak and that's one of the very unique things about TFD. We hope it stays that way. Thanks for editing your post. That was a good move.

Welcome back witchcraft. Yes, we all know it's you, and I think I speak for a good number of members when I say, your return elicits mixed feelings. You were quite controversial in your previous incarnation, posting unintelligible, inappropriate messages on a fairly consistent basis. I hope that you will behave with more respect toward the forums and your fellow members this time around.
