It is almost impossible to gild the Lilly--just a fabulous Broadway musical in every way. I especially enjoy Oscar Hammerstein's sophisticated and inspired lyrics in "A Wonderful Guy," one stanza of which follows:

A cliché comin' true!
I'm bromidic and bright
As a moon-happy night
Pourin' light on the dew!
