NATO Airstrike Kills Afghani CiviliansA
NATO airstrike targeting
Taliban insurgents that had hijacked two fuel trucks in northern Afghanistan has killed as many as 90 people, including
civilians. Apparently, before the strike, villagers had flocked to the trucks to claim some of the free fuel that, according to conflicting reports, had either been abandoned by the Taliban fighters or was being given away to lighten the load after one of the trucks got stuck attempting to cross a river. The number of dead has not yet been determined, but at least a dozen people are being treated for burns and injuries sustained during the airstrike. Officials are now investigating the incident.
