Here are two 'sample' songs by Michael Tyrrel that I wish to share which are quite beautiful, and which I so wish I could post the full version of, instead of just the sample.

the key of david

the bridge

About a couple years ago, i heard again, and somewhere on the internet, a certain musical instrument which i could not identify, but this time it sounded so interesting, and even appealing to me, for some reason, that i searched for where i heard it, and what it was, until i finally found it.
It was called a, Harpsichord, and to my amazement, i soon found some Harpsichord music (or including one), and mostly Baroque, that sounded better than anything else i had heard before!
Since then, i researched for such marvelous melodies, but i have a specific taste, and only a few among many are precious to me, to the extend of being able to listen to them every day, or repeatedly.
Through my research, from time to time, i find some more of these gems, i keep them and they are precious (to me), having an effect on my ears, and brain, and imagination.
Here is most of the music, that i value above any other.

And these i can only find in "Spotify", under the album name of: "Bach, C.P.E.: Harpsichord Concertos Wq. 23, Wq. 31, and Wq. 33"

Rockin' this at the moment.
It is one of the contenders for Icelandic entry to Eurovision. Won't get picked, but that is OK, as they would probably change it to the boring English version (many non-English-speaking countries' entries seem to be in English, very sad).

So nobody will understand a word of it. But it still feels good!

Þórdís Birna and Gummi Snorri "Spring yfir heiminn"

(Þórdís Birna Borgarsdóttir and Guðmundur Snorri Sigurðarson -"Spring yfir heiminn" (All over the world)

I am always bewailing the fact that so many Eurovision entries are in English, and lack national character.OK, so this is influenced by Americam MOR rap. But it fits Icelandic sensibilities - so now it is Icelandic MOR rap!

And bit of fun rock, you cannot feel bad with this on.
. Ingólfur Þórarinsson - "Fátækur námsmaður"
This entry got eliminated already. So no Eurovision. Still fun, though.

I always think of Brainstorm, a Latvian band, when I hear the word 'Eurovision'. I love their song 'Maybe'.

I love all sorts of music but lately I've been reminiscing my school days and The Way by Fastball is in repeat on my phone.

Ironically this 12:16 vintage rock jam from The James Gang is titled STOP

In which legendary guitarist Joe Walsh improvises endless expressions of tone and phrasing on the pentatonic scale.

Just because I've been listening to a few Leonard Cohen songs in the last couple of days . . .

I dug this one up from the "Mixed Styles - Complementary Talents" thread. Originally an 'offering' from excaelis. So it goes.

Sting, and The Chieftains - Sisters of Mercy (by Leonard Cohen)

He just came in all the way from Geidi Prime. Please give a warm welcome to the always vicious, truly demented, bloodthirsty and oh so talented Feyd Rautha and the Harkonnen Chaos Orchestra.
