In the theme of the largest Lottery that I win tonight, how about posting "I Don't Need It, But I Want It" thoughts, pics, etc. I don't need this but I really think it's cool... so I want it. I'm going to have a lot of money so I should spend it, right?

Laid up. Laid to rest. Laid out. Suddenly getting laid doesn't sound like fun.

This about sums up my feelings about the lottery in general:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HqVBKO_QM3o

Like the kid in the commercial, I make my shocked face whenever a friend or relative plays and somehow manages to lose again: wahhhhha haaaaooo!!

Anyway:

I don't need the wind at my back,
Nor the sun on my shoulder,
or a cabin in the woods,
a trail to bike,
or to hike,

but I want them.

What I'm grateful for is the God-given sense to appreciate these things.

"Be without fear in the face of your enemies. Be brave and upright that God may love thee. Speak the truth always, even if it leads to your death. Safeguard the helpless, and do no wrong". (Knight's Oath, Kingdom of Heaven)

Mostly for the fun, tootsie. . . and I love all kinds of vehicles, and could have used a Bobcat when I once-upon-a-time did all my own yard-work.

WOW, RubyMoon, (my partner who loves racing, and anything to do with cars, is goggle-eyed) - lucky you. In the 70's I had a clapped-out Fiat that got me from A to B with many a problem, but her registration was MNX - and she was definately my minx......Dancing

I saw a clip of this recently from CNN

It's a hybrid, not heavy on the fuel, and fits in an ordinary one-car garage.

Now, if it converted into a speedboat too, I'd take two!

I tried to buy this online today & the internet disconnected for no apparent reason.
I shall take that as, I don't need it but I want it.

Two-and-a-half octave Psaltery, actually - considering the number of strings, amazingly simple to play. No fingering and so on - each note has a different string.

Apparently, there are a couple of Hobbit cottages in Devon and Cornwall and in Eire, and a mountain valley in Turkey has been converted to a Hobbit village for tourists . . .
