Hm.... wouldn't categorize this as bling... All pictures of it look like thick shaving cream and thus not very impressive. Anyone know other big precious stones/gems/pearls that might succeed at tickling my materialistic fancy?

Anyone know other big precious stones/gems/pearls that might succeed at tickling my materialistic fancy? When I was in Turkey, I visited Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. Among the gems displayed in their treasury is an 86 carat diamond known as the Spoonmaker’s Diamond. According to legend, the diamond was found by a poor beggar who did not recognize its value and traded to a jeweler for just three spoons. It is painful just to think about! You can read more about it here.

I saw Buddha in a jelly donut once. It was pretty rad.[/quote] I recommend watching the atheist melon on collegehumor.com. Hilarious critique on that point.

If one looks closely at the Turin shroud, you can clearly make out the face of Roy Wood from Wizzard.
