Next Supercontinent Will Form at North Pole

Earth's land masses are constantly shifting due to tectonic activity, and while their day-to-day movements are so minute as to be imperceptible to the average person, the world map will change drastically over the next 50 to 200 million years. According to geologists at Yale University, it is in that time period that the Americas, Eurasia, Africa, and Australia will come together over the North Pole and form a new supercontinent, dubbed Amasia. Only Antarctica will remain a separate continent according to this model. More...

Most impressive - the video showing the movement of the plates on the earth's crust.

The followers of the "Chicken Little Theory" will now take a bit of scientific data and blame humankind for the continental shift just as mankind has been blamed for climate change. All we can do is to continue to put the correct message out and try to be tolerant of the absurd.

Translation for those not fluent in rhetoric:

The followers of the "Chicken Little Theory”
Let me begin with an ad hominem, to distract from the invalidity of

will now take a bit of scientific data and blame humankind for the continental shift
the ridiculous comparison of zero evidence for humankind effecting continental shift

just as mankind has been blamed for climate change.
with the overwhelming scientific consensus for climate change.

All we can do is to continue to put the correct message out
All we can do is to continue to avoid the true scientific debate

and try to be tolerant of the absurd.
and hope people tolerate our absurd strawman arguments.

Arguing with a creationist is like playing chess with a pigeon. It'll knock over the pieces, crap on the board, and fly back to it's flock to claim victory.

will, you may not realize it, but God-fearing geophysicists have proved mankind is indeed responsible for "continental shift." Here's how it works. Sinners are damned to Hell, right? Hell is down, isn't it? Somewhere (we're not sure just exactly where) near the center of the Earth. Naturally, all those sinners add fuel to Hell's fire. The increased heat causes increased convection currents through the mantle shifting the tectonic plates around in a slow-motion do se do. The more Sin, the more heat, the more drift. Get my drift? (That pun was painful, will, but not as painful as Hell!) Anyway, there it is. I saw it all on Fox News. You can get a lotta good scientific stuff on Fox, will. Now when you have time I'll tell you about how God created the Earth in seven days. And, will, Man ain't no ape despite what those damnable Darwinists say! But that's another story. Gotta be off to the Republican primaries. Bye for now.

A Friend.
