There is so much in our food that is so unhealthy, and we often don't even know we're consuming it. That along with the high cost of prepared/prepackaged foods has led me to start buying more fresh ingredients and prepare the foods on my own. While I have not gone entirely organic and locally grown (in fact, I am far from it), I have become more aware of the problems with mass produced foods and try and improve the food products I buy and consume one step at a time.

It would be a good idea, indeed. Unfortunately, you never know how those `healthy' ingredients have been prepared for the market, and what unhealthy substances have been used to produce them. So I don't think that the ingredients themselves are safe enough to be eaten without a risk.

P.S.
Thank you for your helpful advise. Now I will always buy a FRESH coal tar to do the Allura Red AC at home by myself.
