but it made me sit up and smell the coffee. I know I am not as abreast of science news as many of you but a friend just sent me this and I was astounded. My mind cannot always grasp these things but this is amazing.http://www.flixxy.com/hubble-ultra-deep-field-3d.htm In the spring, at the end of the day, you should smell like dirt.--Mar Atwood

To boneyfriend:
I was very moved by, and grateful for, the link you provided. As dawn breaks here across the eastern sky, I wonder about mankind and the planet earth...

Astronomy is listed on my profile. Now you know why!

@Marissa: Certainly, I liked it too. Gorillas are sort of cousins of man, but what about this lion? Give a man a fish you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish you feed him for a lifetime - Chinese proverb

Lovely presentation, bonyfriend. Considering how far we've come since Copernicus' day, it's hard to imagine where we'll be in another 500 years. Arthur C. Clarke wrote:Either we are alone in the Universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying Not sure I'd agree with 'terrifying', I'd say extraordinary. No disrespect, that Gorillion picture is vile Arguing with a creationist is like playing chess with a pigeon. It'll knock over the pieces, crap on the board, and fly back to it's flock to claim victory.

@ClubFavolosa: Very moving. The idea that animals are sensitive and can love has to change our perceptions of them. In both of these videos one can see their capacity for love. Thank you.:)

To Will: It is strange that until I read your post, I never thought of man being alone in the universe...This is a new thought for me to consider, though I think it is unlikely. And it is a terrifying thought.
