Hi,

I have looked for Zimbra Desktop programme that is specific for Windows 7 64bit, I have tried searching and got one but was for the 32-bit Windows 7. I have tried installing it, however, when I open it I encounter this error:

This is some information about the programme:
Zimbra Desktop client lets you manage your various email accounts in one
desktop tool. You can store and synch your email, calendar, contacts, files and
documents between the servers and your computer, making them locally
accessible when working off line. When you re-connect, all your data
automatically syncs between the servers and your computer.
Zimbra mail, Yahoo! mail, Gmail, Microsoft Outlook and any other work or
personal email account that uses POP or IMAP can be set up in Zimbra
Desktop. Each account is separately maintained.
When you receive new email messages in any of your accounts, and you have
Internet access, the messages are automatically downloaded to your Zimbra
Desktop.
Zimbra Desktop is simple to set up. See the Zimbra Desktop Basic Installation
to quickly install Zimbra Desktop and set up your accounts. To install using
Linux, or for more detailed information, see the Zimbra Desktop Installation
and Setup chapter.

I hope you help me.

That error message looks like a text encoding or script error, not a binary error. Is this happening during or after installation?

Here's an interesting tidbit: It's hosted by VMWare.

I am not quite sure but I think it has happened when I tried opening it after installing it.
Do you think that 32-bit programs can work well on a 64-bit Window?

I want to move my contacts and messages from my yahoo's mail into my computer. Do you think this is quite the good programme to do this task?

Yes, a 32-bit program can work well on Windows 7 64-bit; Windows is designed to do this well. (I have misplaced the link, but I recall a comparison earlier this year that showed IE-32 to be three times faster than IE-64!).

In this recent thread on the Zimbra support forums there is mention of work being done on the Arabic version. http://www.zimbra.com/forums/international/52759-arabic-version.html I suggest you participate there where someone involved in the project can address your needs.

It is a shame that Microsoft has neglected Outlook Express. In many ways it was superior to Outlook for the average computer user, and particularly in this use case, where you want to consolidate several email and other messaging accounts into a single point of view. Eudora was also quite good, but unfortunately has also been neglected for too long. Thunderbird is another option, but I suspect it would not be flexible enough for your needs. Digsby also looks like it might have been abandoned.
