Hi,

I have windows 7 and IE 8, however, I see something strange that is as follows:Icheck some web-site and I get this information:
1.Select Start > All Programs.
You’ll see two (or more) icons for Internet Explorer.
Note: The 32-bit version of Internet Explorer is the default browser in Windows 7 machines.

2.Click the one that says only "Internet Explorer" to start the 32-bit version of Internet Explorer.
Do not click the "Internet Explorer (64-bit)" nor the "Internet Explorer (No Add-ons)" version (if it exists in your menu), because those will start the 64-bit version of the Web browser.
This the site IE8

You most probably have IE icon in your desktop or as a quick launch icon in your task bar. Try them.

Cooperator, I guess you want to have the 32-bit IE so that you may install the Shockwave player. If you can't find IE-32 bit on your desktop or in the Program menu, I would suggest you to re-install IE. First install any other browser on your computer (like Chrome, Firefox etc) and then uninstall IE all versions through Control Panel. Try installing IE-32 bit version. This may help.

Please be concentrated with me, I said to I have an IE( without add-nos) and IE 64, however I don't have an IE (32 bit)

And as the explanation above says you will find three IE(one without add-nos, another IE 64 and IE32)

I hope you will be able to be concentrated with me.Whistle Brick wall

Look at the contents of your hard disk with any file manager (My computer - Local Disk C:)
In the path C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\ you should find a file iexplore.exe.

Run that program and select Help - About; the info box tells you the version number, and if there is NO indication of the 64bit you have opened the 32bit version.

Go back to the file manager, right click the iexplore.exe file and choose Create a shortcut.

This way you can create a 32bit IE launch icon on your desktop.

Yes, I have taken a look at that iexplore.exe and I find out that there isn't any indication of 64bit

And I have made a shortcut of it, however, I noticed it as a iexplore.exe and not as Internet Explorer
Finally: I am really I don't know what the difference between IE 32bit and 64bit, because when I downloaded the Flash Shockwave and Flash Player while I am on the 64-bit IE I don't any problem.
Could you possibly tell me how I will get the concrete differnce between them.

Note: I have noticed that after I have accidentally posted that thread about the Safari's problem many times I have got to enter a code text after every edit or a new thread , in spite of I was entering that code, however, after a certain period I don't know why I am no longer have to enter that code which I have to enter now.

What should I try asking Microsofot about?

I said to you I have the 64-bit IE and IE without add-ons, however, I don't have a 64-bit IE.

On the other hand, when I looked for iexplore.exe as you said to me. After I found it I checked it and I found out that there isn't any indication as a 64-bit. Thus, it is a 32-bit as you said to me, don't you? I made a shortcut for it on my desktop.

My inquiry is as follows: why only do I have IE64 and IE without add-ons?

By the way, you didn't reply me how I can find the difference between them.

In addition, you didn't reply me my inquiry about that code which I have to enter after editing of post or posting a new thread at this forum.

Cooperator, I will try to answer your queries.

1. To understand the techincal difference bewteer 32 bit- and 64 bit- IE, please visit Microsoft Support Page.

In simpler terms, a 32 bit application uses 32 bit linear memory, while the advanced 64 bit application uses 64 bit address format. This makes 64 bit faster, but all software may not be compatible with this format.

2. Regarding entering the code text: When the server or recipient software at other side thinks that you are not a human but you are a machine, it asks you to verify your humanship (if that is a word) by entering the text. This confirmation is required to ensure your authencity, your liveliness and to protect spams. This may occur because of several reasons. If you have entered some text with enormous speed (like multiple posts within seconds); if you have been using a lot of codes; if you are on some business site (say online banking) and your style changes; if you are trying to create a new email account or anything like that.

Thank you so much indeed, however, why my windows 7(64bit) doesn't have the 32-bit IE8. It has only the IE8(without add-ons) and the IE 64bit. In addition, if I make a shortcut for the file iexplore.exe, will the shortcut of iexplore.exe become as the 32bit IE??

The IE in \Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe IS the 32 bit version.

Please, try to concentrate on the answers given to you.

A cooperator, forgive me for not noticing sooner, but are you launching IE from the Start Menu > Program Menu, or are you launching it from the Windows Explorer search function?

If you look via the Start Menu > Program Menu, then you should see the three versions listed there: Internet Explorer 64-bit, Internet Explorer 64-bit (no extensions), and Internet Explorer 32-bit. The 32-bit version might be labeled "(x86)" but I cannot confirm that because I do not have an Arabic system and unfortunately do not know how to read both scripts like you.

I also discovered this thread which confirms what Jyrkkä Jätkā has written and includes advice on additional steps that have been found to be helpful.

Thank you all I when I list my start menu, then, programmers list, I didn't see except the 64-bit IE and the IE (without add ons). The 32-bit IE isn't listed in the programmes list.

However, when I made shorcut from explore.exe that is available in this path"\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe " I have got shortcut on my desktop.

First: and if the 32-bit version of Internet Explorer were the default browser in Windows 7 machines, it would listed on the programmes list instead of the 64-bit IE.
Finally: why the 32-bit IE hadn't a shortcut like the 64-bit IE as these steps tell us:

web-site and I get this information:
1.Select Start > All Programs.
You’ll see two (or more) icons for Internet Explorer.
Note: The 32-bit version of Internet Explorer is the default browser in Windows 7 machines.

Do not click the "Internet Explorer (64-bit)" nor the "Internet Explorer (No Add-ons)" version (if it exists in your menu), because those will start the 64-bit version of the Web browser.
This the site IE8]
