The "help" [file] icon is part of the system.

Try clicking elements, like task bars or even empty looking places in desktop and in applications, with the second mouse button. You never know what pops up.

I have the same icon on my task bar and I have been wondering how it got there and what it means.

For me I quite know what that icon means, however, I am wondering why it has been appearing since a littel time, but I have never seen it before since I had purchased my computer. It is for the quick assistant support for the company you purchased your computer Now I want to hide it from the taskbar? Try right click with your mouse and uninstall or unpin this program from task bar. If there is settings, click on it and choose hide on the option. Hope this works.

Not sure which system you are using (I use OS10) but check and see if you have a "View" function. If so you might be able to customize the tool bar view.

I'm somewhat surprised no one has mentioned the small white triangle next to the help icon. Have you not used it yet to hide icons?
Unless your system is very different than mine, if you put your mouse over that triangle, you'll see "show hidden icons".
If you click it, the option to customize your icons will show up. Clicking that will give you the option to show or hide icons in your system tray.
