Currently BBC iPlayer TV programmes are available to play in the UK only, but all BBC iPlayer Radio programmes are available to you. Why?

Sorry folks, didn't know about that restriction. I guess it is about selling the programmes overseas i.e. money! They can't restrict radio listening in the same way obviously. Apologies again.

Thank you, intel, for initiating this.
Thank you for the link, JJ.

I am still wondering how Mr Hamilton was able to keep his cool when interviewing the Catholic priest.

Thanks for that link JJ. It's well worth watching. Anybody know whether parallels should be drawn between Christian hell and pagan underworlds?

The opposite of hatred is love; the opposite of tyranny is love; the opposite of censorship is love; the opposite of evil is love; the opposite of politics is love; the opposite of war is love; the opposite of god is love.–– Salman Rushdie
Broadly speaking, it is held that getting money is good and spending money is bad. Seeing that they are two sides of one transaction, this is absurd; one might as well maintain that keys are good, but keyholes are bad. Whatever merit there may be in the production of goods must be entirely derivative from the advantage to be obtained by consuming them. –Bertrand Russell

Thanks a lot for posting this! Really funny (and educational).

What I can gather about Hel (or Hel's Mansion) is that it was where you went if you died 'with your boots off' (you would only be picked up by the Valkyries and taken to Valhalla if you died in battle). There was nothing painful about Hel, it was just a bit boring (sitting around, praising the Gods, playing a harp etc).

Seems a bit more like the Christian Heaven than Hell.
