greedy man
greed·y (grd) adj. greed·i·er, greed·i·est 1. Excessively desirous of acquiring or possessing, especially wishing to possess more than what one needs or deserves.
The key word "deserves" ....he did not deserve others money. And, in the end, he deserve life in prison.

Prior to incarceration they should put him in a locked room accompanied by those whose money he stole for about ten minutes.
Methinks there would be no need for a jail cell afterwards.
