Hi friends,

Could you please let me know the meaning of the word in bold.

I bought a brand-new air-mobile
It custom-made, 'twas a Flight De Ville
With a pow'ful motor and some hideaway wings
Push in on the button and you can hear her sing

Does it mean "airplane"

thank you

A reference to the Cadillac coup de ville of the late 1950' and 60's. The suspension was said to be so good that riding in one was like riding on air.

We should look to the past to learn from it, not destroy our future because of it — FounDit
