I am having/taking my bath.

Which verb should I use?

Thanks.

I think that the only difference is that BE speakers usually "have" a bath/shower, while AE speakers usually "take" a bath/shower.

AE "taking a shower" would definitely be more common. It is less distinct with "bath".

In Finnish language we tend to mennä suihkuun/kylpyyn or käydä suihkussa/kylvyssä, go to shower/bath or visit the shower/bath.

I know both taking and having a bath are common phrases, but they can bring different things in mind, as in Drag0's example.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
