What does "solid" meam?

Solid has a literal meaning:



So as a metaphor, solid means firm, strong, not changing or moving. Once you have made a decision it is fixed and won't change.


If something is described as liquid, or fluid, it means it will change as the situation changes, and won't stay the same.
