Yeah, it's less clear but I think so. So presumably take as in embrace, take hold of you, support you, lift you up, when you are down (depressed).

unless someone else has a better take on it.

Ie. It is for everyone. It is for every mood - it can make you feel great, and it can make you feel less awful.


The guys are Irish, so it might be an Irish or Dublin idiom, but that is how I would take it.

Also, he is ad libbing, so when he starts a sentence he might not have planned how he is going to continue with it - hence the hesitation and abandonment of 'get' - but you plough on anyway. Whistle
