Hi friends,

Please see the below description:-

She had a pretty face and was wearing a push-up bra that pushed up plenty. But she had to be at least fifty, so he figured the bright red hair was bottle-fed.

Does the bold word mean 'dyed'?

Yes it is a pun, a joke.

Bottle-fed refers to an animal that gets its nourishment from a bottle instead of suckling from its mother.

But here, it is the colour comes from a bottle - the hair is dyed.

It is not a particularly good joke, but it is fine in passing.


(If her hair were dyed blonde, there is an old pun where you would call her a suicide blonde - dyed by her own hand.) Whistle

Bright red hair would probably be dyed.

Unnatural blond hair is probably bleached.
