jumping with joy Options

We're jumping with joy over our new born baby or We're jumping with joy over the news of our new born baby.

kindly advise which one is the correct

I think "over" is OK but I prefer "with"

But you wouldn't get "news" about your newborn. You - especially your wife - are the ones making the news! You pass on the news that your baby has been safely born, and that both of you are overjoyed about it.

So you'd simply say you were jumping for joy at the birth. (Also, the way it's written sounds as if the baby came out with a news report they immediately passed onto everyone!)
