What is the "change of life"? Is it the mid-life crisis or something like that?

Most probably it means menopause (andropause among ageing men).
It's caused by the decrease of hormonal production. Typically occurring somewhat in the 50's.

EDIT: thar was quicker ;-)

Well that was unexpected. I didn't think this would be a common enough expression to warrant an entry.

As it's something that affects 50% of the entire human population of the world, it *is* a common enough expression!
